Hi, I am new here

Hi, my name is Manuela. We have two girls, ages almost 5 and 6 and will move to the Santa Rosa area for next school year. I don't know the area yet and will have to find a school that works for us which I find a bit overwhelming. I will have lots of questions about Santa Rosa and surroundings. At the moment I am mainly interested in knowing whether there are any areas that are unsafe, respectively which are the best neighborhoods/schools and why. Also, Santa Rosa vs Sebastopol vs Petaluma. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.
