Hello there! I started my son at four months, but was told I could start at 3. I used to prepare 2-3oz every night, if I saw he finished and still hungry I would breast-feed him. |

Hi, I started at 5 months and even then my daughter only ate about two tablesppons. Just start out with a little then you can up the amounts, sometimes if you start too early they won't want it, and they don't relly need it yet!! |

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends no sooner than four months, and no later than six. Yeay for the official answer.
When I tried giving my daughter solids at four months, she turned her nose up at it, despite my wishes. She didn't start taking them until she was 5 1/2 months. Personally, I'd wait. Solids aren't nearly as conveinent(sp) as you'd imagine, and formula or BM gives them everything they need until six months. Good luck! |
