Hello ladies just wanted to thank you all again for joining me in prayer for my Kerry. I see God working in his life in soo many ways. We met our freshman year in college and we have both graduated he has a degree in Criminal Justice. He wants to be a Police Officer to start out his career but it had been delayed for a while. But God has opened a door for him to get a job in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he is from working for the Police Dept. there. We are both from OK by the way. He has passed all the tests he has had to take with flying colors and now he just has to finish his background check and get it turned in and wait to hear from them the Academy starts in January. He just recently found out that his license got suspended due to some tickets he had gotten so he has to take care of that but what really blesses how strong his faith has gotten. I was encouraging him to stay focused and keep on believing God and he is doing just that he said that his faith on this is fully in God and that God promised him that job and i have never known his faith to be soo strong. So i give God all praise and glory for the victory in Jesus Name. Keep on praying for him to grow stronger in the Lord and to be all that God has called him to be. God Bless you all in your relationships and marraiges. |

Lisa, My husband has been a police officer for 5 years so I know all the things your about to go through. It's a dangerous job but also a very honorable job. God has blessed my family and put his protection on my husband for he has never gotten hurt. But the job can be stressful and they sometime bring it home. It's hard to go to work everyday and be hated by almost everyone you come accross and not be affected my it. He's going to need to hear from you how much you love hime and that you'er proud of the job he does. I sure you do that already, I'm just letting you know that you will probably have to do it more. My marriage and relationship with my husband was very strong but after about a year into his career we went through some hard times and most of it was because of his job. I even tried to convince him to change careers which made him worse because I just became one more person that hated him as a police officer. I was lucky. At the time i was a consultant for Creative Memories and my Unit Leader was the wife of a cop too. I talk to her about it and she learned from someone else (cope wife I'm sure) that it was normal, that most officers go through this (her's did too) and all they need was to know they were doing the right thing and was still loved. I know this doesn't really mean much to you right now but it will in the future. I wish someone had told me when Chris (my husband) started. It would have saved almost 2 years of our marriage. We are great now but it became bigger and harder then it would have been if I would have know earlier then I did. It's inportant that you have a support person and the best way to do this is get to know the officers he works with and there wives or girlfriends. This may take sometime so please feel free to talk to me about anything you like. You can always reach me here. I will be praying for Kerry that God will protect him from any danger and your relationship will never have to go through what my marriage did. God bless you and Kerry. -Jessa |
