I am free every morning except wednesdays. The open gym group sounds great. I will keep that in mind for when Harvey starts crawling and getting mobile (which will be sooner rather than later). We need to work out a central location. Is the Destin Commons too far for anyone? or maybe Baytowne Warf? Just trying to think of places we can sit and relax. Any suggestions? |

I've only been to the Commons twice I think... but that sounds cool. Where did you have in mind? As far as Baytowne Warf also... was there any place in particular you had in mind? We were in that area yesterday but I still don't really know it very well. |

I guess it depends on who can make it. Shannon is coming form Panama City Beach so Destin seemed central from that perspective. A park would be great but i haven't really been to any in the area yet except the Dog park in niceville. Do you know of any nice parks? There are tea rooms in the village at baytowne warf and we could just meet in the square at the commons. whatever is convinient. |

In Fort Walton there is a nice park right off of Beal... I can't remember what its called but theres lots of trees and playground equipment... baby swings and such. It's also an exercise park... I'll have to ask my husband if he can remember the name. Otherwise my friend and I are talking about going to the Landing downtown. She says its really nice in the fall and winter (we've been waiting to go because its been so hot all summer). A client of my husbands has talked about the Dog park but I've never been there as of yet. As far as Destin goes I don't know. Whatever we decide though I'll just need some driving directions so I don't get lost:) |

Here is Destin's website for parks and recreation... I don't know where any of them are but if this helps you find one that would work for all of us and is easy to find ;) |

Thanks Courtney, There is a childrens park in Destin and there is another down the road from me that is on the water front of the bay. Haven't heard back from anyone else yet, but there is 2 options. I dont mind travelling either....Harvey is a very tollerant baby. If you want an excuse to come over this way we could meet at Harbourwalk Village. Its the big orange building just the other side of the Destin Bridge. There is a coffee place there and down at beach level i think i remember seeing a playground. Its beautiful weather for it right now. let me know what you think and what day or time would suit you. As i said, I'm free most mornings. |

You said no Wednesday mornings... so how about Thurs or Mon morning at like 10ish? I'm going take Jacob to the open gym Friday to meet Dawn's playgroup. You should bring Harvey... Dawn says there are all different age groups of children there and then we can all go out to lunch before naptime :) |
