Tips on how to wean off the binkey? He's 26 months, but his communication isn't quite clear yet. i know he uses it for security...any suggestions on how i can convince him that binkeys are for babies? any responses would be helpful. thanks :)

Maybe if he has any older sibblings or cousins to look up to, you could tell him " (older kid...insert name) doesn't use a binkey. Dont you want to be big like him/her?" That helped me wean my daughter off breastfeeding. Unfortunately, I started giving her a pacifer to help her sleep at night. But I instist that she puts it on top of the refridgerator as soon as she wakes up, so that it doesn't get lost (we only have 2) and so that she doesn't use it all day. Sometimes, when she's tired or fussy she asks for it, but I explain that the pacifer is for bed time, and she will have to lay down if she wants to use her pacifer. Good luck.
