Little Abby has figured it out. She only gets up for one nursing session now! Here's what I do:
1. Abby never plays in her crib. She does not spend anytime associating with it except for a diaper change or bedtime. She knows when I walk away it means 'sleep'.
2. Abby is never allowed to sleep in her swing, her bouncer, or anywhere else except her own crib.
3. Abby goes to bed between 6:00 and 7:00. By 8:00 she was always getting a second wind which gave her energy but also made her overtired. I would call it being restless.
4. Abby stays up during the day and takes her nap during the day when she wants. Her naps are kept under an hour though.
I learned a LOT of information from Sleep Sense. I never ordered the book but the lady behind it keeps me on a newsletter and once a week she would answer someone's question. I learned everything from her without reading her book!
If your having troubles, check out that site. Just type in 'sleep sense'. Whether it's bottles or having troubles getting your toddler in bed, she probably has answered it.:)
