Good morning everyone!!!
I just wanted to invite everyone to come and join a mom's group that I have been apart of since June 2008. The group is called Moms in Motion and is based out of Greensburg, PA. But if you don't live close to Greensburg, don't let that discourage you, because there are members that live anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour away from Greensburg and that opens up opportunities for activites closer to your house if you are unable to travel.
The calender for this group is alway packed with activities from morning until evening everyday. Some of the events include kids playdates, family events, moms day/evenings out, couples nights, and family events. There are plenty of events planned with the group including Seabase, Chuckie Cheese, Halloboo @ Idlewild, Barnes & Noble storytime, McDonalds, and Olive Garden. There have also been many events planned at parks or at private homes in which cost no money, just a relaxing time to hangout and let the kids play and the moms to have some "adult" time too!
There are some exciting events planned on the calendar right now for the fall and winter seasons, including trick or treating, pumpkin carving, visiting pumpkin patchs, going for hayrides, making halloween and fall crafts, hobgoblin hikes, participating in parades, and a halloween party!
There is also no age limit for your child to participate in this group. We have children from birth to 13 years old that participate in activities. We hold some age specific events such as infant, toddler, and school age.
If you are interested in checking the group out, click the link below. This is a private group, so you will have to request to become a member. At that time, you will have to answer a short questionaire and you will be given unlimited access as a trial member for 30 days. At the end of the 30 days, the group charges a small fee of $12/year which renews in August of every year. Your fee will be prorated for the number of months left until the following August 2009 renewal. Right now, the prorated fee for joining is $10 and will make you a member until August 2009. That breaks down to $1/month to join. All the money collected goes towards the fees to have the group on meetup.com and towards group events planned for the children. You can attend as many events as you like whenever it is convienient for you.
