My wife and I recently had our first son. I love being a dad; I find it very fulfilling and exhausting! I am studying marriage and family therapy as a graduate student and I am very interested in how couples maintain strong, happy relationships after the birth of their first child. I am conducting research at Purdue University Calumet looking at first-time parents who are presently in a relationship and have their first child between the ages of 6-12 months. If this applies to you, please click on the icon below to be directed to the study. This is an IRB approved study (IRB #0611004661) where your individual results will be kept confidential and the findings will be published to help therapists in working with new parents. Participation is voluntary, thank you for your time. https://www.psychdata.com/s.asp?SID=120090

You are still more than welcome to take the survey. When does she turn 6 months old? You can wait to take it then if you would like. Also, pass the information on to anyone else you know who is a first-time parent. Thank you for your willingness to take the survey.

Hi Jared,
I have a 10 month old son so I checked out your site. I wound up taking the survey. Lots of interesting questions and a very important topic to address. After all without our significant others we wouldn't have children to write about.

My son is only 2 months old so we might not qualifiy (let me know). I would be interested in taking the survey. Our relationship has definitely changed in many ways. It is better in some areas and not so better in others. It is (as you must know) an amazingly trying yet wonderful time. |
