Hi, my twins are 10 months old and feeding time is a lot of work. For now I have them in the stroller so I can feed both at the same time, but I really would like to have them in a high chair close to the dining table.
Any suggestion of brand or specifications? I have no idea of what should I look for in a high chair. I wouldn't like to buy 2 chairs which would give more hard time to use.
Thank you for any tip, have a nice day, Drika |

Find a spacesaver type of high chair. the ones were you tie them to existing chairs at your table. Most of them will also turn into a booster seat for when they get older.
We started off using a high chair, but it made it difficult to have Ian eat with us at the same time at the dinner table. With the spacesaver, Ian now seats at the dinner table with us and we eat as a family. It works out really nice. Plus, by 10 months, Ian was feeding himself finger foods so we could give him bread or anything and he would feed himself while we eat or I would feed him while my husband was eating so he was never eating by himself. |

I have this one - The First Year's Newborn-To-Toddler Reclining Feeding Seat - and I thought it worked out beautifully. When we were in the apartment, we didn't have a dinner table so we had it sitting on the floor and Ian was able to get in and out of it as he wanted. I thought it worked out beautifully. My only real complaint against it is that food can sometime get stuck in the creases, which it often did since Ian is a messy eater (although he has gotten a lot better). However, it was really easy to clean. http://www.amazon.com/First-Years-Newborn-Toddler-Reclining/dp/B0010WAXN6/ref=sr_1_29?ie=UTF8&s=baby-products&qid=1223306408&sr=1-29
My best friend has this one, but I'm not sure how well it works - http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Space-Saver-High-Chair/dp/B000BXAI08/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=baby-products&qid=1223306337&sr=8-1 |

I have the same spacesaver table and brought it with us on vacation and it worked awesome, but I do LOVE my highchair and does go up to the dining table because it has several heights and folds so easily. It comes with 2 seat pads:
It's the Graco Contempo Highchair. I do have the Birkshire fabric but they have plenty of designs.

Not sure if you have Craigslist, but if so, look for contempo high chairs on craigslist and even the booster/seat savers on there as well and save yourself some cash. |

I have two spacesaver chairs (my sister gave me her's from my neice) and a highchair. We have the rainforest high chair and my 4 month old loves it. He sits in it while I eat breakfast or cook supper. It has a really cool snap in play thing on the tray that he can touch and turn on by pressing it and it adjust to different heights. We haven't used the booster seat(fisher price healthy choice ) yet but I really like it because the tray and lid to the tray go in the dishwasher and also you can fold it up to take it to a restaurant or vaca.

I have the Chicco Polly High Chair for home - which folds for space saving, rolls around (my son loves to push it around the house... we call it his tank!), and the tray is easily removed for access to baby - and we have the Safety 1st fold and go booster seat at my parents house. Liam is comfortable is both and both are relatively easy to keep clean... Especially if you have time to wipe it after every meal.
Good luck! |

Of all the baby items I've bought, this is the best --"Fisher-Price Healthy Care Booster Seat." This link has lots of photos and customer comments (5-star rating overall).

Easy to use. I strapped it to the chair in a minute. The trays snap on and off, and I wash them in the dishwasher or in the sink. My 6 month old daughter likes to sit and play with her toys in it, while I get her food tray ready. Transitions to a booster seat at the table later on. Such a great buy--great price too!
