I can understand your wanting to help contribute to the household income. The first thing I would suggest is decide how much time you have to work. Then look at what are your interests. Are you looking for a more traditional type of work or something that will give you an income and be fun at the same time? I think the most flexible type of work is the direct sales companies that do home parties. I have been in direct sales for 13 years. It has been fun and given me the flexibility to work around my family. If you choose to go this route then I suggest that you look at the products that the companies sell and select one that excites you. You must believe in the product and the mission of the company. Then look at the compensation plan, training and support that the company offers. Of course I would love to have you check out the company I represent. I am a representative of a company called SimplyFun. I get paid to play games and help families discover the fun in playing together as a family. Our products are sold through game parties where we actually play games and laugh and have fun. I invite you to check out our producs at www.janecampagna.simplyfun.com. SimplyFun has been in business for 4 years and is still a great ground floor opportunity. Business has been great as families are looking for inexpensive things to do for entertainment. I wish you success in deciding what you want to do and feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Jane |

I work from home setting phone appointments and setting up accounts for an INC.500 international wellness company and I do it while home schooling my 4 kids! When I want to take them to the zoo....we just go! No asking for time off and no loss of pay! When I feel like having a jammie day - we have a jammie day and I work my business in my jammies! Since gas and food prices are eating us alive with such a big family, I LOVE that I did not have to invest anything in this business, do home parties or sell products. I truly do work in my home, around our home schooling and family schedule with just my phone and computer. I love to share this business with other moms, and really enjoy showing others how they can do it too! so please feel free to visit my site www.workathomeunited.com/2requestinfo or email me at fromhometoo@yahoo.com for more information!
I really would love to show you how you can stay home too!

I would be careful with any of the websites that lead to a place called "The MOM Team". I was on a call with one of their people and the woman said time and time again that I didn't have to fork over any money or anything, and I told her that I didn't have a Credit Card.....She repeatedly told me that I wouldn't need one, but by the end of the call she was telling me to get a prepaid credit card and that the place they did business for (http://about.melaleuca.com) basically made it so you had to purchase from them a certain amount each month or something. I wouldn't do it. |

I WORK WITH THE MOM TEAM!!!!! They are good people to work with! If you feel that you were lied to then you need to report the person you spoke to. We are a team not an indivdual its wrong to judge an entire team by one person. We are not a scam I get a check every month as does everyone else with our team. People don't seem to understand that we are trying to provide for our children while staying home with them, you think that we are just sitting in front of our computers waiting to "scam" somebody, nope, we make money when we help other people make money, thats why we are so focused on trying to HELP other people stay home and make money. |

you may get a check every month from this company, but you also have to fork over money on a regular basis that is going to the company that pays you. Kind of a waste of time, if you ask me. Basically you're getting reimbursed for the products you purchased from them. You're not earning much if you have to buy from them WHILE being paid by them at the same time. |

I don't "fork over" any extra money, I switched stores and its saving me about $40 dollars a month, so really they paid me to be part of their team. Its certainly not a waste of time to save money, make money, and be there for my family, and there is certainly nothing wrong with being reimbursed for products that I would still have to buy even if I wasn't with The MOM Team. Most of us earn hundreds more than we spend on our products, some earn thousands more. Its obvious that you were not well informed on our team and for that I am sorry. |

Everyone that joins gets a free website, free unlimited training and support, and there is no monthly fee. All you do is switch stores, everyone needs to wash clothes, clean their home, take a shower so why not get those products from a wellness company especially if given the oppertunity to make money. |

who wants to pay 13 dollars for cold medicine? 6 dollars for lip balm? 12 or 13 for sun block 10 for kids vitamins 25-30 dollars for ONE jug of laundry detergent
need I go on? Add all those normal household things that you buy on a regular basis that you are now getting for twice, sometimes three times that you would normally pay at a drug store, walmart, etc. and then the shipping.
it's nice that you are having fun with the company.....am I wrong when I say that you also make your living by getting more people on this "team"? like I said, it's nice that you are having fun, but try giving facts instead of sugar coating the company.
HEy, guys, if you want some makeup for a night out, you can pay 45 dollars for a 3 pallette eyeshadow and a liner!

You really should do your research. I do buy the $20 detergent and it last about 6 months, other detergents are about $8 and for my family of 6 that barely did laundry for 2 weeks... add that up. Have you ever looked at vitamins at the local pharmacy? Same price. Make-up is another branch. The products we offer people mix themselves to save from using more bottles. A $10 bottle of any cleaner (bathroom, kitchen, etc.) makes about 10 bottles, add that up. It saves money. |

sure it does. all the people reading this forum can just compare to other prices. Go to walgreens.com, walmart.com, cvs.com, etc. and you will see a HUGE price difference.

I agree there is a huge price difference. Check the price of a bottle of 409, its about $5, check the price of melaleucas kitchen cleaner its about $10 for the same size BOTTLE... it makes about 10 bottles of the same size as the 409 bottle, your right HUGE price difference. |

You do have the right to tell about your experience but you really should look deeper into the products before you judge. The MOM Team may not be for you and that is ok I have no problem with you for not wanting to be a part of our team, however, just because it wasn't right for you doesn't mean it isn't right for other people. I appreciate your argument it keeps me knowledgeable on my team and products. But next time please try not to be a dream stealer for everybody, voice your opinion don't point fingers. If you would like more real and true information about The MOM Team let me know. No hard feelings. Enjoy a great day! |

Ladies, you all have valid points, but that is not what this is all about. Melaleuca is not about price it is about quality and quantity. The prices are very comparable to name store brands. Yes, you can go to Walmart, Walgreens, The Dollar Store and get all this stuff for cheaper. Do you really want it around your children. I know I sure don't. Melaleuca is about better, SAFER products in your home and for the environment. Paloma, I am very sorry that you did not get a proper presentation. But if you are going to bad mouth The MOM Team, than bad mouth them all, because we all do the same work. I have been doing this for 2 years now and everyone I speak to I spend lots of time on the phone with before I ever enroll them. I want them to be 100% sure that they know everything about the products and the business. Unfortunatley there are people out there who don't care. |

I am only giving out FACTS. If you have a problem with that, then maybe you shouldn't be working for them. You guys made it quite clear what a "team" you all are. |

The only problem I have is that your facts are faulty. I want you to know the truth. At just a glance of our team and products I can see your point of view but you really should look a little deeper to understand everything. Kathy made a good point it does seem like your having a bad day and just trying to find someone to take it out on, it has nothing to do with The MOM Team. Nobody here appreciates your negativity and they have made that clear to you I think there are special groups for venting try one of those. |

There are many different types of businesses out there and I think the important thing to remember is to really research anything before you deide if it is right for you. I am very sceptical of any business that will not give you the cost upfront on their website. That should be a a red flag to you right away. After hearing about the MOM team so many times I did go on the website to see what it was about. I immediately had a red flag when you could not really learn what it was all about without calling a number to listen to a sales pitch. Now that I have seen through these posts that it is melaluca I know that it is something to be careful of. If these are products that you definately want to use and pay the higher price for then it is for you. But if you are looking for a true business then I suggest you might want to look else where. When the way you make money is on everyone under you having to purchase a certain amount each month, this is a pryamid type of business. My sister was involved in melaluca over 25 years ago and it cost her a lot of money. I think they have just reinvented themselves with a new name.
Again, just check out a business and ask many questions before you get involved in anything. Also make sure they are upfront with all costs and monthly quotas. Companies that are not upfront make it hard for other companies that are offering a great business opportunity. |

We don't advertise melaleucas name because then there would be no need for The MOM Team, that would put a lot of us work at home moms out of a business. If you want to know the cost it is a one time $30 membership fee, low compared to other work at home oppertunities. I tried the other work at home oppertunities before I found The MOM Team. The reason we want to call is to qualify people, if we don't think you qualify then we don't enroll you, qualifying has nothing to do with money only with personality and desire to work at home. Its not a pyramid due to the fact that the enrollee can make more than the enroller. If somebody doesn't make money doing this its because they don't actually want to work. |

*yawns* You can continue to claim that it's all because I had a bad day, but like I said, fact is fact....and I have bumped into the mom team on several occasions due to the several different mommy oriented urls being generated that always lead back to the same website (the mom team website). I did my research, I spoke to a few people for about an hour and was completely taken advantage of and lied to, and it is continuing to look like it's not going to change. I know that you like the company, that part is obvious, but quit trying to make it look like it's just me because you want to make another few bucks by reeling someone in on this forum. |

Thanks for the support ladies. She got a bad presentation of the business and is taking it out on me. I don't mind I think its funny how angry shes getting that I refuse to be ugly. Your right its not for everybody and I respect that. To be honest I didn't get a good paycheck for the first three months, it has to be made clear during the presentation that its building a business not a get rich quick and thats usually where people get upset and call it a scam. There is no free work at home oppertunity. Its just finding whats right for a person to be happy in what they do. |

Hi Everyone!
Lots of friction since I was last here! Most companies out there are good. If the person building that business is in that business it's because they believe in it. They have faith in it! Direct Marketing companies have great products and I think most of us have heard or tried most of them. Its the persons belief that helps them to be excited and successful! The beautiful thing is that we have choices. With that said!
I am with the healthier coffee business! Do you or anyone you know drink coffee, tea or hot chocolate at least occassionally? Because this is the coffee industry, the #2 traded commodity in the world, I am having more success sampling people and letting them decide if they want to be a customer or a business builder. Its the first time I have marketed something that doesn't change a persons habit but creates a healthy habit! In North America alone there are 250 million coffee drinkers that are drinking 2-3 cups a day! Its crazy! I just want a little piece of that! If you would like a sample... let me know and I will send a sample. This is how ez it is to get the coffee in someones hands. Ask these 4 questions... 1) Do you or anyone you know drink coffe or tea at least occassionally? 2) How do you typically drink your coffee?( cream and sugar? black? ) 3) What is your favorite brand? (Let prospect answer) Now here is the clencher.... Say the prospect says foldgers.... 4) When was the last time you received a check from foldgers for drinking or refferring their coffee? (hand them a sample close to their description, get their number and call the next day to see if they liked it)
If you can consistently ask those questions.... you will build a customer and representative based business! Not everyone wants to build a business. But our coffee costs .50 -1.20 a cup. Depending on which coffee you like best! It's actually really fun! Saves me a ton being I used to drink St*****ks. Its healthy , no acid, ads stamina, energy, so many things...
Let me know if you'd like to hear more....

Amber, your first paragraph was well put and I agree 100%. However, I don't drink much of anything other than water but it is a great ad. :] |

Thank you!
Just remember sometimes the product is not your favorite... but remember how many people do you know that drinks coffee or tea... we have hot chocolate, green tea and an energy sports drink coming soon. We also have neutriceuticals with the "healthy part of our coffee "Ganoderma" in pill form for those that want the benefit of the herb and dont drink coffee! Oh and good for you! Water is sooo good for you!
