nap times
At what age do you start scheduling nap times? My son is 2 1/2 months old and i wonder if it's normal to never know when he will be asleep during the day. Is it too early to start trying to have a routine?

At that age we just went with the flow.
Around 6-8 months we did two naps 10-2 or 9-1 depending on what time we got up that day. And now we just do one nap usually after lunch unless we wake up super early then two still.

I encourage you not to go by the clock because your child will get up at different times in the morning as well as during the day. Just get into a routine. My son gets up, eats breakfast, we read books, watch one of his educational videos, and then he is down for his morning nap. After nap he eats lunch, plays, etc. It's all about doing the same routine almost every day until they get it down. My son will actually beg me for his nap if it is indeed naptime. Good luck!

well we started our son on a bed time routine at 2 months and we still do it now but I didn't really start a nap time routine until the past 4 months(my son will be 10months on the 4th). But at 2 months if you notice a pattern of times he wakes up and then goes back to sleep, that will give you an idea. But really I would just go with the flow until he is showing a pattern and then schedule his naps like that.
