I get depressed...
I get depressed if I think that Palin could be president
I get depressed if once again a prepared and intelligent men get push down by the old boys club..
I get depressed when lies become truth
and most of all I get depressed when people vote against their own interest.

Do owning a gun will buy college to your kids? Does being pro-life or pro-choice will help you paying mortgage? Sacrificing young lives in Iraq will help our reputation in the world?

I can not believe we can not grow in a different and intelligent country!

Yeah their is no way people can think of voting for someone who chose an complete idiot as his VP.

Alisa, I would like to agree with you, but look how many people DO! Even on this board, look at the people that think Palin is wonderful. I don't get it, but *throws hands in air*

I too get depressed! It amazes me how after 8 years of seeing what this world has gone through people still consider voting in nothing but the same. It actually makes me sick to my stomach thinking that we can have another 4-8 years exactly like we have had. I just want people to wake up!

As a matter of fact, owning a gun will buy college for the kids of some Americans - I have an uncle who paid for both of his children through college on an income made soley off of his taxidermy business. So, if people can't have guns or hunt, then he is out of business & has no money to pay for his kids college. But I guess he could just go on some government funded welfare program & all would be well?

And do you honestly think we are fighting to help our reputation? We are fighting to protect our freedoms. What good could come out of pulling out of a war just to try to save face? Would having a good worldly reputation be worth more than knowing that your children are safe? I personally would rather have other countries hate us than have to worry about terrorists in my own backyard or have to worry about my children growing up in a country than is 100% government regulated.

I get depressed when people assume that different is necessarily better! I get depressed when people can't pull the sheep's wool from over their eyes to realize that the change being pressed upon them would make our country go into even more economic decline!

Yes Pamela, you must be correct. Things are going swimmingly, why would anyone want to change things? :)

Moms, get a grip. I beg you, leave the culture wars to the press, think of your children, let go of the dogma that has plagued us for so many years. Guns, abortion, war...On guns, Obama will not overturn the 2nd amendment, & most of you are intelligent enough to know that, abortion, contrary to the beliefs of some, liberals are not pro abortion, just pro freedom to make our own choices on motherhood & birth control. (abstinence only clearly doesnt work) & the entire argument is based on religious beliefs, not science. as for war, I see it more as they cant/wont end the war because we cant defeat an ideology. As long as there is religion, there will be war, we must not be caught up in that, we must elect thinkers, & negotiators, & men of knowledge (as Nietzsche would say). I want my son in a university, not drafted into a war created by LIES!
