I know most mom's in the Jackson area can not afford to go anywhere to meet. Is anyone interested in meeting at someone's house? It seems that even McDonalds never works because it costs some money. If we meet at a house, that mom can provide the snacks for the afternoon. I'm willing to be the first mom to host it if you are interested. If you'd rather meet somewhere, I would be willing to do that also. I'd love for my 18 month old to find some more playmates. Plus, it's nice to sit and chat with another mom. Let me know. ~Brenda |

I'd be up for that, Brenda. As for McDonald's costing money, it seems as long as someone at the table bought something, they aren't likely to say anything, so it doesn't have to cost money even. |

i tried to respond yesterday, but i guess it messed up...oh well. i would be willing to meet somewhere too...i have 2 little girls...6 months and almost 2. they really need playmates...especially my oldest. what if the first time round we meet at the library? that way it's definitely free, no snacks needed and from there we can arrange something once we all meet?
hopefully, we'll meet you all soon Elizabeth |

That's fine with me also. I'm not sure on the times at the library, I tried to look it up and I didn't see what they are. If anyone knows, we can set it up for there. Which library did you want to meet at? There are like 10 of them in Jackson! Lets make it for next week sometime, that way it gives everyone enough time to plan on being there. ~Brenda and Kira |

I'm thinking the Carnegie library's early learning room would be the best place to meet. |

Carnegie sounds good, Thursdays at 10am for reading time (only 1/2 hour) and then we can all hang out after that. How does that sound to everyone? We can start by meeting next Thursday and go from there. |

We aren't usually up that early, but we'll try if we do manage to be up and about by then. My husband works this weird second/third shift kind of thing and leaves for work around 3:30 in the afternoon, getting home sometime (usually) between 3 and 5 in the morning and then sleeping until around noon to 2 (depending on if he has physical therapy or anything) in the afternoon, so I encourage the kids to stay up later than most families since getting up early in the morning just means more hours that I have to try to keep them quiet until he wakes up. |
