Hi everyone, my name is Chris and I stay at home with my 4 month old Evan while my partner Melissa goes to work to bring home the dough lol. Parenting is new to us/me and I'm just looking for some support both online and in real time. I'm glad I found this group.

Hi Chris,
Welcome to the group, and congratulations on your little boy! This is a great site, there are a ton of groups that can help you out. I joined 3 or 4 already, they help out so much if you have a question, or just need to vent. (The group "Need to vent" is a personal favorite of mine.) Good luck with your son, and the site, thanks for joining!

Nice to meet you Chris! You are so lucky you can be home. Why have children when at least one if you can't be there. I work part time.
Every Friday they have a Tots and Tunes playtime at the Framington Library - I try to go. Lately my work hours have been crazy.

I have been trying to find groups to join as well. I go to LLL meetings (breastfeeding) and recently joined MOMs of Southington.
Some moms take their kids to Gymboree, there is on in Farmington..here is the link...

In addition to erin's post...
try meetup.com... i just found a playgroup in farmington on there. I havent made it to a meeting yet, but i have already talked to other moms that live in bristol. There is a fee, but its $10 a year, and you get to try the meetings for a month first to see if you like it. |
