Im a stay at home mom LITERALLY! My husband and I have one car and I don't feel comfortable driving really so he takes it to work. I do take my 16 month old daughter for walks to the park when the weathers nice (3 sometimes 4 times a week) but sometimes I feel bad that she’s not getting enough time around other children. She never really is around other children her age besides special occasions like birthdays. Is it bad that im really her only friend? |

Dont worry. I'm in the SAME EXACT situation! We only have one car as well,so my 3 month old daughter and I dont get out much. BUT, i recently started taking him to work on Wednesdays so that Kiersten and I can go to a group called Cradle Talk. This way I get to meet other moms and she can get out and we can learn new things together. You should try it.Look in to your local library and see about "Lapsit Storytime" as they call it here. I havent gone yet, but I just went to the local library yesterday to check it out. They have lots of things to do. That we we can meet new people and BOTH get a chance to make new friends. |
