Hi! New Mom in the Atlanta Area

I am the happy mother to 7 week old Connor and I can't believe I finally have him! We had gone back and forth on whether or not to have children and after a traumatic miscarriage in 2006 had decided we weren't going to have any but fate has a way of bending you to it's will and we got pregnant last year. Found out on Christmas Eve and it was wild ride. Anyway I would love to hear about other moms because I feel like I was totally unprepared for all being a parent encompassed.

congrats!! I also had a miscarriage with my first baby in 2004 but we now have a beautiful 17 1/2 month old little girl. I would say just go with the flow if you can and try not to plan your days full of stuff, they do grow up fast. I miss the 7 week old time but I enjoy the fact that she can walk and talk a little and laugh, it is so fun but it can be trying at times as well. Also try and take a nap when he does if you can. Thanks for the reply...It's amazing to me how you don't know what you don't know about babies until it's just the two of you 24/7. But I must be doing ok since he's still alive :)
