Hi, I'm a new member...name JoyBeth...I recently quit my job, moved here (Suffolk, VA) from San Diego, CA. My daughter loved her daycare and I don't want her to miss out on that socialization, but am lost when it comes to finding a playgroup to join...can anyone help me?!?!

Go to meetup.com they have local playgroups.

I am also having a difficult time finding a playgroup in my town. There are groups in the surrounding areas but it seems there are none in my actual town. I live in Cedar Hill Texas so if anyone knows of any please let me know.

Thank you Mary for posting that website. I went on there and found one I was interested in. I contacted them and they got back within a day or two. Now, all I gotta do is get the the first meeting =)

Hi, I'm Chrissy. I am new to this group. But when I lived in Hampton Virginia I belonged to a group called hampton roads mommies. It was a great group of girls. Alot of the girls are still together. It was a yahoo group. There were a lot of girls that lived on the peninusula and a few that lived on the out in Norfolk and Suffolk. good luck to you! I hope you like it there! My husband was stationed at Langley AFB.

Meetup.com is great... I've also found playgroups on www.playgroupsusa.com, and I was able to find other moms in my area to start our own through www.mamasource.com.
