rude co worker
can anyone relate or advise? i sent an all-employee email about an industry related topic (common in my company.) one person responded and hit "reply to all" and then i responded back to his response anmd hit "respond to all". THEN, someone out of the blue had the nerve to write me, "stop all-employee emailing". that was the whole message. can you believe that? like its her place to tell me what to do! (she's on peer level in another department.) how rude!!

I would say that is pretty rude... I wouldnt reply to her in an email though. I would go find her and tell her that You thought that what she did was very rude, and that if she didnt want to read an email that was about a very reasonable company related topic, then just delete it. But she has no right to tell you not to email a company related message to everyone.

I agree that her email was rude. The only way she may have had any place to make such a comment would be if the response you gave was specific to the one person who responded to you. If you felt your response was pertinent information to everyone in the company, then you should definitely address her directly and let her know you were doing your job. Was her email sent to ALL or just to you? If it was sent to everyone, that would have been extremely unprofessional.
