Hello Carlie, I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. I am a step mom too, but I do have my own children. I think it depends on how old the child is, if the child is younger they are more open to the "other parent" if they are older they are very loyal to their bio moms. How old is your step child? Is it a girl or boy? How many are there? I know it is alot of questions BUT everyone plays an important part in understanding where both of you are coming from. I would love to help in any way I can. Feel free to email me with any questions you may have, I do not know everything, but I have some experience that may help you. Keep your head up and your heart open!! Tammy
