| I am not a mom however I am a stay at home nanny and I am new to the area so I don't know anyone. I am 28 years old and single. I would love to meet new friends I feel like my life is somewhat pathetic because all I do is take care of the baby all day and after that I go to my room and watch tv or something. The baby is 7 months old an it would be good for him to have interaction with other children as well. Is there anyone else out there who just feels like nothing exciting gones on in your life and you ust keep on going through the motions? Don't get me wrong I am truly blessed to be where I am in my life write now and I don't want to sound like I am complaining I just would love to meet new people and get out of the house or hang out even when I am not working. I have found that it's hard to come by good friends especially when you are new to the area and don't get out much. |

yes i know the feeling exactly.
i have tried setting up a play group for kids..and no one seems to join...
i am new to the cockeysville area...and myhusband works all day..and i am hre wit my our son...
it is great..but isolating at the same time..
i would love to get together and meet and have hte kids make new friends....
send me yor information..email ....etc...and we can set up a play date... |

Hello Lisa,
You are not alone. I feel that way sometimes too. Even though I have plenty to do to keep busy it is not the same. You are off to a good start reaching out. Sounds like you just need some friends in your area. I dont think we live close to eachother or I would love to hang out. Is there anything you enjoy doing sports, crafts, etc? Something where you can join a group for it then you would meet people who have the same interests as you. Also, a local church will probably have like a singles group and those can really be fun. Even if you are out on the weekends volunteering your time with them you will meet people and establish relationships. :)
