21 year old w/ 3 year old and 5month twins
I got pregnant at 17 with my first and then had my twins at 21, both ages were considered "too young" to be a parent by both my friends and family who's parental standards were closer to 26 for a good age to become a mother. Everyone seems to look down their nose at me, and I can't figure out what I've done wrong! It's like I'm being discriminated against and assaulted by prejudice simply because I am young! I love my children more than anything, they are always well fed, never neglected, and my husband and I make enough money to support our family comfortably, so what is everyone's problem?!?!

lol, donna i wouldnt be too worried about what other people think. They are always going to think that way, i mean you could make charts and graphs explaining your reasons and logic behind your ideas, and they would still find something to look down on you for. I was 19 when i had my daughter Anna, who is now almost 11 months, and I am about to be 21. I got lucky with my family because my mom was actually the same age when she had my sister. But i still get looks cuz i am not married to her father... no matter what you do someone will find a reason to put you down. So just spend time with your kids, keep doing what your doing, and i am sure you will be okay.

More power to you, and God Bless you and your family! I too am a young mother, I had my daughter when I was 17 I am now 22 and couldn't be happier. People will always be quick to pass judgement however all that matter is who you are as a person and as a mother.

Don't worry about what other people think! People are going to have their opinions regardless. You know that you are doing everything that you can.. I got pregnant at 17 and I could care less what anybody thinks. Hope this helps girl!

I had my son when I was 17. Going through high school was different. People that were once your friends no longer wanted to talk to you. The people that really matter to you will stick by your side. I am now 19, married and i love my family. Keep your head up!!
