Tricks of the trade
Does anyone have any tips to share, things that make life easier?

One of mine- I drink my morning coffee in a covered travel mug- it prevents spills and the risk of burns, and keeps my coffee hot since I don't get to drink it right away.

Hello Marcia,

one thing for me...crock pot dinners, that way dinner cooks all day and at night time it is one less thing I have to do, instead of cleaning the cooking dishes I have more time for feeding Alicia, giving her a bath, eating dinner...etc. Also, watching TV while I fold the laundry....it makes a chore a break for me. :)

My new trick....here in Arizona we have a lot of splash parks adjacent to play areas. Now I keep a small bag in the car at all times that contains an extra swimsuit, baby towel, sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat. That way we are always prepared to have fun and get even when we weren't planning too. It's a great way to stay cool impromtu.

Jeanna, I'm with you on the crock pot meals. My crock pot is my "can't live without" appliance. I will start folding laundry while watching TV- I always feel guilty if I watch TV when I have things to do.

Stacy, great tip- I always carry a bunch of stuff with me that I don't need. Now I will just keep a bag in the car so we will be prepared for anything without having to remember it each day.

Thanks!

Another of mine- charge the camera battery overnight and never put the camera away. I always keep it handy so I don't miss those Kodak moments.

I've got something that saves a little money! I learned that as long as they don't poop in them, you can rinse out swim diapers with detergent, dry them out, and use them again! It's totally not gross...those little suckers are expensive!! Anyway, just a little tidbit. I fully agree with the crock pot ladies--they rock.
