Just curious about why you chose that age range? |

That's a good question ... actually we chose this age range for the research because more children are born to mothers within this age range than any other, however there is very little research that does focus in on this range. That is, there is a lot of research on teen parents (those 19 and under), and there is research on mothers of all ages, but we felt that it was important to begin looking at what some of the differences or unique circumstances are of mothers that are adults according to the government, but are still so young, since so many women become mothers for the first time when they are within this age range. |
