Hello,
I came across the group and figured I should introduce myself. I live in Michigan City and i'm a mother to 2 girls. 2 years old and 7 months old. I am actually not a working mom right at the moment, but I am looking for a job, now that my children are getting old enough for me to feel comfortable enough to do so.

Hello Cindy! My name is April (30years old) I am married and have one 2 year-old daughter. I have not been with these groups very long but am glad that I have joined. I have met women and their children from both groups and they are wonderful. I think you will find these women very supporting and fun.
I dont know if you would be intrested but one of my groups is meeting at Creek Ridge Park in Michigan CIty on 9-7-08 at noon for picnic. Actually the children are asked to bring a favorite stuffed animal or doll to take with. Details are in the groups outings planned. I know of Amy and Amber coming right now, not sure if anyone else will be able to make it. If your not busy you should stop on out. I wont be there until 12:30Pm , but I do plan on attending. My daughter loves playgrounds and they really do have a nice park there.
Your comment about not being a working mom, I think you are wrong. You have two children that you are rasing full tiime. THat is alot of work. Jersey ,my daugther is in daycare 5 days a week, I see her maybe a few hours a day plus the weekends. Your children are very lucky to have you around all the time. I also understand about bring comfortable about leaving your children with someone else. We had Jersey in private babysitters (friends and relatives) until she was about 1 and then found a fablous day care. Defintely look around and get referrals. Trust your gut, you have to feel comfortbale there. just a word of advice ,Stay away from Little Lambs and Imagination Station. But that is just me.
