Hi,
My name is Ilda. I have a one year old daughter called Sara. My parents are from Portugal and it's important to me that Sara experiences both cultures, esp. since we live in the US. We're off to a great start since my mom watches Sara while I work. In fact, most of her words are in Portuguese :)
My husband has a talent for many things -- unfortunatley, languages are not one of them, but I find it very endearing when he speaks to Sara in Portuguese. My husband is an American of English, Scottish and Irish descent.

nice meeting you. My name is Mara. I'm a German living in the US. I have a one year old daughter, too, who I try to raise bilingually. I love Portugal. Have been there many times on vacation. As a matter of fact I had a Portugese boyfriend for a while. Where in Portugal are you from?
