yesturday instead of feeding my ten month old "food bits" i just gave her a bottle and never put her in her high chair. I know with kids its important to keep routines but I was exhausted and just wanted to sit on my a--. I didnt tell my husband because frankly I'm shocked I got away with it! My girl is a big eater and suprisingly she was ok just drinking an 8oz. botte for lunch that day. Sometimes I miss the days of bottle feeding, it was so much easier then a toddler into textures and feeding themselves. The clean up is so time consuming and when I step in it barefoot! The worst! So that's why I so badly wanted to skip lunch that day. Anyone else have one? |

my daughter is the same age, and I fell EXACTLY the same way, lol. I was so excited when she was able to eat solids... then i realized how much more difficult it is. I sometimes wish I could get away with just a bottle too. and I admit I have done it once... or twice, lol. Today I actually found peanut butter playdoh squished into the floor. And I am constantly finding fruit loops and cheerios everywhere. I Wish there was just some kind of feeding tube we could get... I could liquify all her food, stick a straw in a spill proof cup, and let her have at it. Though even then, I am sure she would find a way to make a mess out of that too! |

oh and to add to that, they had the country fair this past weekend near us. We took our daughter, and the entire day she ate gross, fatty carnival food. From waffle fries, fried dough (with sauce, we figured that was healthier, lol), a piece of an onion blossom, root beer float, cotton candy, ice cream. She ate so much bad food that day... but it's a once a year event (unless we go to the Big E), so we figured we would just go crazy with it. thats my bad parenting confession for now. |

Oh yeah, I have done that. My 13 month old is no longer on baby foods, so you can imagine the mess every single feeding. One night, he was giving me a hard time. I threw in the towel and gave him a nice thick bottle. He was so content he went to bed early. I don't even think they want to eat all the time, as long as they have something to drink! LOL |

Well my boys are now 4 and 6 but I can remember those days very well. I think most moms have those days but most just probably don't admit it. |
