Hi Jessica, I am 23 weeks and expecting a girl also! I understand about the hard to sleep thing. I have found that when one thing works one night, it might not work the next. But lots of different pillows of different sizes might help you to get more comfortable - I have my regular head pillow and one for inbetween my knees. Then sometimes I use one behind me or in front of me to rest my belly on or a couple more to prop me up in the bed - sometimes all at once! LOL I cant find my husband through all the pillows! Also, if you have a comfortable couch or recliner that would help elevate your head, that would help relieve any heartburn that was keeping you up. There are pregnancy teas that they sell that say they help you sleep. Relaxing and winding down before you go to bed helps too.
If you really find you are having a real problem sleeping, talk to your doctor. Mine recommended Tynolol (sp?) PM for those nights nothing else will work.
Take care and hope you get some sleep! :) Beth |

Hi, I am 34 weeks and expecting a boy but am having a terrible time sleeping and have been. One lifesaver I have found is a pillow called Snoogle, it is a body pillow that has curved ends and it works well for in front or behind you and goes under your head and between your knees or whatever makes you comfortable. It was a little pricey but well worth the money. Good luck |

Thanks for the advice. I've tried the pillow thing an it works one night but not the other. Lol All I want is to sleep for like 5 hours wihtout having to get up to go to the bathroom or to switch the pillows around or push my husband out of bed. lol |

Hi, I'm 27 weeks pregnant and we do not know what we're having. A kicker in the NFL? Sleeping is difficult, I have a body pillow that works and another pillow for my head but like you say, it works some days and sometimes not. I find if I go to the gym and workout at all I'm so tired that I sleep really well :) |

Hi Jessica. I'm Jen and having my first child ( a baby boy) In February. I'm about 20 weeks now. Congratulations to you! I read in a magazine that milk and turkey sandwiches can do the trick. I experimented and found that indeed the turkey sandwich a little while before bedtime is helpful. Keeping a pillow under your belly for some support and in between the knees is also helpful. If u tend to sleep on your back or miss sleeping on your back you can always wedge a pillow under one side so you're not completely flat. Hope this was helpful. Best wishes! |
