First day of the 3rd grade
Felt happy about taking my daughter to school this morning. She couldn't get out the door fast enough. I was glad she was going back to school, since during the summer I get tired of hearing I'm bored all the time. Took her into her classroom and my 2 yr old son wanted to stay.. I don't even want to think about him starting school.. Though, now that it is 11:30am, I miss her! The house isn't the same, it is too quiet. Even though my son is here it isn't the same..

Suzanne, Glad you shared your feelings because tomorrow is a big day for me. My 5 yr old Daughter starts Kindergarten. Since I'm a SAHM this is the first time she will be away from me for a long time. Like you I also have a 2 yr old Son LOL and no idea how that will go. His sister really keeps him busy they play together a lot. It is so different because I really spent a lot of one on one time with Charlyne but with Jacob well he really preferred his big sister to me LOL.
She is very talkative and I really feel she is going to love Kindergarten. However; I know I'm going to be shedding a few tears and feeling a bit weird.
I have my day planned out but with a 2 year old son who knows how that will go. Glad you made it through the first day of school here's hoping mine goes Ok too.

Yeah, I can remember the first day my daughter started pre-k at the same school she goes to now. I walked her in and she couldn't get in to the classroom fast enough. She said goodbye to me and gave me a kiss and that was it... I was hoping she would cry and not want me to leave, but no she was ready to get started. though, I cried going out of the school and on the way home. So, I understand what you will be going through.. Though, maybe since you have a son he will keep you busy and keep your mind off of her not being there. And it will be good for your son to have some one on one time together. And I know what you mean about how your son perfers playing with your daughter over you.. Mine is the same way.. Though, since my daughter has been in school this week, he won't leave me alone! I have been going to the gym so, he will have other kids to play with while I work out.. It makes me have to go, knowing he likes it and good for him to socilize. Though, when we go get his sister from school, he is so excited!! They play and play after school. Though, almost everyday since Sunday we have had to watch the movie Camp Rock. Watched it after school on monday and tuesday.. I can probably sing every song in the movie! My daughter and son love it! It was that way with High School Musical for a while also. But, hang in there. Better go, got to go to the gym.

Suzanne, LOL Charlyne use to do that have me watch the same DVD over and over again. Jacob is so different but very physical.
Same as your Daughter Charlyne couldn't wait to go to school. I don't always have a car so I was debating what to do today the bus or drive her. Anyway, she was excited about taking the bus so we went to the bus stop via car this morning LOL. It was easier today because I wasn't sure what time they were picking her up so we were there about 20 mins till the bus came. I wanted to get a picture of her but she hopped on the bus so quickly. Anyway, I asked the driver what time she would be returning home. She is the last stop going to school and the first one coming home so her ride is about 5 minutes.
I wanted to cry on the way home and it is only about 5 blocks to the bus stop. Anyway, we got a flat tire right in front of the house. So I called AAA and they came out but the guy couldn't get the tire off so we need to have it towed. Long story short I deceided to wait till tomorrow to get it fixed. And that also made the choice to go to the bus stop. I did get a picture of her getting off the bus. The driver had to coax her off LOL.
Baby brother is the one who was crying when we got home and no big sister. After about an hour of pouting he finally snuggled with me. So we did have some nice one on one time. And he loved walking to the bus stop.
I thought I was going to cry but yep with Jacob still home no time LOL he did the crying for me and then he kept me busy.
Charlyne got home from school and ended up falling asleep on the sofa so I had to play again with Jacob. Now they are both playing so all went well. She doesn't go back again till after Labor Day.
Thanks for the post
