At first we thought it was because of the time change and all the daylight, but he is still doing it. He will throw such a fit. We have a ritual every night. Eat, Bath, medicine, brush teeth, pick toys up, read storybooks, Then I have him say goodnight to the character in the book, I try and give him a hug and a kiss, and then go to sleep. He knows when it comes down to that last book he starts trying to get out of bed. I don't know what else to do. He even gets so upset when I try and get him dressed, give him his medicine or even brush his teeth. My husband has to do it all. My husband and I have both been trying to explain to him that one day daddy isn't going to be around to do those things because he is going to be working and mommy is going to have to do it all. He just doesn't understand. It is going to be so hard to try and explain to him next year when it is time for my husband to leave for overseas.

That can definitely be tricky! I have two boys who are also VERY vocal about "DADDY DO IT!!" Sometimes I just continue to follow thru and do it whether they like it or not (even though that is very difficult). Another thing you can try is to go ahead and set up situations to do that bed time routine while Daddy is out so that you are the only one there to do the routine. Continuing to remain consistant and following the same routine is critical. Good luck!
