Hi there! I am Naomi (aka Noni or Miss Noni) - new to the group (HI!) - I'm the mother of a sweet 2 1/2 year old daughter, Mira, pregnant with one due in April, and a proud resident of east Gainesville. I am the wife to Bret, a hardworking, yet sensitive man and competitive triathlete. :) I am also acting in the upcoming Birth play - BOLD (Birth on Labor Day - Sep. 1st at 2 and 6 pm, at Unity Church on 39th by I-75) ...please come see it, it is going to be great fun!
I am here announcing the opening of Noni's Musikgarten, a new music studio I'm opening in Gainesville designed just for kids (though I'm starting out with just babies and toddlers). Musikgarten is a wonderful program with fully researched, developmentally appropriate and FUN curriculum for babies all the way through children age 9 - you can learn all about at www.musikgarten.org. I am fully licensed and certified and totally excited to start teaching. There are two classes available for the Fall of 08 -- Family Music for Babies and Family Music for Toddlers.
Family Music For Babies: (Newborn - 15 months)
Play musically with your child through bouncing & rocking songs, wiggle and peek-a-boo games, dancing, moving & singing. Designed to increase child’s curiosity about music, develop listening skills, a sense of beat and establish a foundation for singing and musical thought.
Family Music for Toddlers: (15 months - 3 1/2)
Participate with your toddler in singing, chanting, moving, dancing, listening and playing simple instruments – while developing a strong musical bond with your child. Through activities that bridge the natural connection between music and movement, your child’s musical aptitude and listening abilities are enhanced and further developed.
Family Music for Babies: $100 for 12 weeks + $50 Registration & Materials.
Mondays at 9:15. Later times and Thursday times may be available if needed.
Family Music for Toddlers: $115 for 12 weeks + $50 Registration & Materials.
Mondays at 10 and 11:15. Thursdays at 9:15, 10, and 11:15.
Classes are held at United Church of Gainesville - 1624 NW 5th Ave, Gainesville, FL.
A 25% discount applies for siblings.
Class size limit: 12.
No classes are held the week of Thanksgiving.
