Healing Moments/Dealing with Childloss

Hello everyone. First of all, I'm very sorry for everyone's loses. My name is Tami, I have 2 sons. Conner Daniel, my oldest, was born in 2005. He had liver failure and needed a new liver which he received when he was 7 weeks old. After the transplant he had many other problems with nutrition, development skills, vision and others. He was finally diagnosed with a condition called Hepatocerebral Mitochondrial DNA Depletion Syndrome. My husband and I had passed on some bad genes that mutated in Conner's body and created all those problems. This Syndrome is extremely rare and has no cure. He slipped away exactly 3 months after being diagnosed, at the end of 2006. My husband and I are silent carriers and our 2nd son is no a carrier at all. I belong to Share and The Compassionate Friends. There's a picture of Conner in my photo album.

My heart goes out to you. I lost my son in 2004 when he was 11 days old.He was born with a chromosome disorder(Trisomy 13). I also found out that I'm a carrier for this disorder.
