I saw this episode on SuperNanny--this couple had 2 boys, they lived in Hawaii. The Nanny advises the mom to put them to bed and if they get out of bed to place them back in bed. Not making any eye contact or conversation. Just repeatedly putting them down. The first night took her almost 3 hrs!! I know its been a couple weeks since you posted this--how is everything working out for you?

Hi Jessica, I was browsing and found your post. I have twin boys that went from crib to big boy beds right after the first of the year. They used to go to bed with no problems when they were in their cribs like little angels. No arguments, no crying fits, no hours of fighting to go to bed, no nothing. Believe me, I kid you not, I had NOT ONE OUNCE OF TROUBLE when they were in their cribs. Then they went to big boy beds and BAM!! all h#$% broke loose. I tried that supernanny techinque.....been there, done that.....didn't work for my kids. The only thing I found that worked was reading them to sleep. Now I know it might take some time but believe me it worked for them. I shut off the lights and got one of those little clip on book reading lights and would read to them until they were O U T !! It has been a few months since their transition period and now we are down to just 2 or 3 stories, then we do prayers, kisses and hugs and now they stay down all by themselves. I also tell them that Caillou stays in bed like a big boy and I know that they can do it as well.....(Caillou is their favorite)

I sure hope everything is working out better for you. Let us know how things are going with your son.

Take care,
Jeanne
