Hi everyone...i am a new mom of twin 9 month old boys..and they are the most precious two things..however, they both demand my attention and I cannot give it to them. They are crawling over each other, propping themselves on anything remotely sturdy...HELP!!! Any suggestions? I try to have them nap at the same time, but that obviously doesn't work. They have their own internal clock and they do not want to nap at the same time. I try to have them eat at the same time so I have some sort of schedule with them. Thanks for listening..any advice please, I am willing to hear all advice. |

Hi! I hear your pain! It wasn't until our girls were over a year old and we cut out the morning nap that we successfully got on a schedule. Now we get up, try to get organized and fed, we get out of the house, either to the Y or some other activity a couple times a week. Come home for lunch, and then they are both pretty much ready for a nap. We let them play in their separate cribs until they fall asleep.
But my girls are very different, and Ella napped in the morning much longer than Nora did, even though she constantly seemed tired... it was the most frustrating thing ever! I wish I had some bettter advise for you, but like I said it wasn't until a few months later that we were able to get on a schedule.
I always tell new moms of twins.... just remember having twins is HARD!!!!!! So when you are at your wits end, it is not that you are a wimp, it is just that having two precious children at once really is a double blessing and a double challenge! Take care & God Bless, Colleen |
