Parents with Kids in Elementary School

Hi! I am a single mother of 2. A teenager and a 9 year old son. I have recently relocated to Glendale CA from Guam and would like to meet moms with a child or kids of the same age. My son is very much into games (PSP, Playstation, WII, and other computer games) and he has a passion for skateboarding. Relocating and starting over is hard on all of us. I hope that he will be able to meet friends his age and they will build long term friendships. Regards, Janice

I have a nine year old son as well. Unfortunately I live across the U.S. but It sounds like they would have a lot in common. My son is very much into game systems, skateboards, Yugioh off and on, etc... Maybe we could swap advice sometime! Fourth grade has been a hard year for my son in school. It seems like he does really well at things he likes but is having a hard time in things that are more important for his future like SCHOOL! I know it's not fun to learn at that age, but I get upset knowing how important it is that he grasps everything he is supposed to be learning!
