What is the method you like best? Words of wisdom or any other tidbits of info regarding this "Big Step". |

get her used to sitting on the potty first and let her run around without a diaper. might get messy, but its a messy ordeal anyway. and if she is interested, let her pick out some big girl panties. give her an incentive (toy, candy, etc.) and let her see you use the bathroom. everyone says girls are easier to train. i started my daughter at 18 months and would give up after a week, but would try again every once in a while. when she was 2 and 2 months old, she just woke up one day and decided to start using the potty and has been since. my son was potty trained by his 2nd bday and we used incentives (candy) with him. he is also a "pleaser" and that helped, so personality has to be taken into account. i personally don't think there is one "magic "method, but i think if you start with these steps, you can decide how to move on once you see how she reacts to things. and if she doesnt cooperate at all, just forget about it for awhile and try again. GOOD LUCK and remember patience, patience, patience (that was my hardest hurdle)!! hope this helps. |
