Moving to the area soon and looking for a playgroup
Hi! I will be moving back to the area soon (October) and I am looking for mothers interested in a regular playgroup. My son is almost 1 year. We aren't sure where we will be living yet, but will be in the Monmouth/Ocean County area. We plan that I will be a SAHM...fingers crossed that we find affordable housing!! Anyone interested?

Cheers, B

Read your post. I haven't seen any responses with this group so I thought I would send a reply.
Good luck with your move. I have been living in Monmouth County for almost 8 years...(Matawan/Old Bridge). I think it is a nice place to raise children. Lots to do.
Any luck with the house hunting?

Hi Dee,

Thanks for replying! I noticed that this group wan't very active, but thought that I would give it a try anyway.
We've had an offer on a house accepted. (It's a tiny cottage actually.) So hopefully that will go well and we won't have to live in a hotel for too long when we arrive in New Jersey. We used to live in New Jersey in Red Bank and then Neptune before my husband was transferred two years ago, so it will be nice to return to familiar ground. I know that there is a lot to do in the area for grown ups, but I am clueless on the child front. :) Any tips there?

Cheers,
B

Hi, this summer we have been keeping busy at the beaches, parks, zoos. As long as we are outside my children are happy. Lots of nice parks with playgrounds. When the weather isn't so great there are indoor activities for young children at the malls, where they have small activity areas for kids to play and run around. Even the fast food places have play areas for children. There is Party Gym (haven't been there yet) and Chuck e Cheese. Hope this helps!!!
