Hi, I'm new to this whole thing. My name is Rebecca, I'm a nursing student and sahm, and I'm here looking for possible future playdates for my daughter Nicole, who's 4. We recently moved to the Shores and we'd love to meet some new friends- She's a HUGE social butterfly!

Hi Rebecca! I'm a SAHM of one 6 mo son. I too live in SCS (9 mile/Jefferson). I try to keep busy but the days get daunting afterwhile. I'm looking for other Mom's to hang out with for playdates or whatever. I'm looking for playdates at local parks, the zoo, museums, etc. There's so much to do in the fall as well. I'm new to this and aren't sure what groups there are/play groups in our area. I'd also like to get/join a stroller/walking club for fitness, if anyone is interested. My son loves his stroller and sits so quietly for walks everday.

Hi, Erica!
I'm not so sure about playdates in our neck of the woods yet either. I've heard there's a co-op nursey I think at Cavalier and Mack, but that's a little too early for your son's age anyway. We could def think about "stroller dates" though. I think it'd be fun to take walks in the evening w another mom and I'm sure my daughter would love it, she absolutely loves babies! We could arrange to meet at a park and we could always try to recruit other moms in the future! :) |
