How do you get everthing done in a day with kids espcially when they are sick.

When my kids are sick I sceme to get more done I think its cause I am trying to keep the other one from geting sick and my self from geting sick. I just prity much run around all day like a chicken with my head cut off.

When they arnt sick even though I much rather be playing with them I just have to make time to do things I set them up with crayons, playdo etc. at the table and get things that i need to get done done wile still checking on them every couple of min.

NAP time is the best time to do things though My 4 year old dose not nap but knows that she either needs to play in her room or set in her room and watch a movie for at least an hour Other wise nothing in this house would ever get done.

I just reset my standards. We all know that we could indeed trim at least one thing of off of the incredibly necessary or someone will die list. Just put things into perspective. My kids are 2 1/2 and 10 months. I am home with them full time AND i do freelance editing. There are plenty of days with deadlines where I have to tell myself that the carpet could miss a day of vacuuming or the laundry can be folded tomorrow. WHat all are you actually trying to get done that can't wait? As long as my kids feel loved and are fed, I know the rest does not actually hit life or death status.

Hope your little one feels better, good luck!

Like the others I might put off something that can definitely wait until the next day. But normally I still get everything done. My 2 year old usually loves to just lay on the couch with her blankie and pillow and watch cartoons with a cup of juice while my 9 month old plays on the floor. When my 9 month old is sick she normally sleeps so I get tons more done then. Neither one of them has been sick in A WHILE but that's how it normally went. :) I will sit with them and comfort them between loads of laundry or something. When my oldest DD is sick she normally wants to be completely left alone to herself or wants me there all the time. Again, I prioritize and some thinsg can just wait. Good luck and hope they feel better!!!
