I have a child with Downs
My 5 yr old has down syndrome. He is not your typical downs kid, he has the capabilities of learning yet he does not seem to be interested in doing much. Partly could be because of lack of rest/sleep. He has a hard time falling asleep and staying sleep thru the night which is probably affecting his development. I don't know if anyone here can relate. I also have a 7 yr old boy and a 1 yr old girl. They are doing good.

I'll browse thru some of your post now. Thanks for reading.

Hi Marie. I am not sure why this board is so quiet. Have you been a member for long? Is this how it usually is around here? Oh well.

It is just quiet. IDK why. I think most of us just get busy with other things.
Have you treid melatonin(sp). I have used it with my son who has ADHD and a mood disorder. It helped him sleep.
Sometimes I have thought of giving it to my 5 yr old, he usually gets up once a night or so sometimes.
My Dr recommended it for my oldest son. You could ask and see if that would be an option.
