Hi!
I think that your group is a fantastic source for questions new moms or moms to be might have, as well as being a great forum for women to get to know each other once they start having children. Ryleigh's Oyster is located in the heart of Historic Federal Hill and run fantastic food and wine specials on Wednesday and Thursday nights without the crazy college crowds. I am 30, and my husband and I plan to start 'trying' at the end of this year, and many of my girlfriends are getting their families started. The question that seems to pop up often is where to go for a glass of wine, without the crowds and noise and stigma of being in a 'bar,' but still be able to unwind and relax with some friends (this especially is an issue I hear about from my new-mom friends in Federal Hill). Therefore, I have decided to put together 2 nights a week that cater directly to these exact demographics. Every Wednesday and Thursday evening we will offer a minimum of 10 different bottles of wine for $15 until we close at 2 am. We also have specials on these days that run from 5-10; on Wednesday we offer Sharing Plates for $10 and a $20 3-Course Prix Fixe Menu; on Thursday we offer $8 Flights of Cheese, Oysters, and Scallops, as well as $8 Flights of Wine. All of these options vary on a weekly basis.
As I get older I realize that nice places to have a quiet, relaxing drink with friends are often difficult to find. We have attempted to create an oasis for women (and men, of course :) who still enjoy socializing but don't know where to go to avoid the crowds and the singles scene.
