Washing her hair
My 15 month old has started throwing a fit when i wash her hair. we've been using the same soap since she was 3 months old, Aveeno. And recently when she takes a bath or shower (yeah she loves taking a shower) and i wash her hair she screams like i'm hurting her. I've checked the back of her head there is nothing there, like a bump or a bite. I need to wash her hair most nights because she likes to put foot in her hair during diner. Has anyone else had this happend? i don't think it warrents a trip to the doctor but it still bothers me. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank

well i might have a idea and it might sound a little silly but try it...
do you have a light weight mirror? something that is not to heavy for her to hold and something she can see her whole face in... when you wash her hair give her the mirror so that she can see what you are doing...

i find with my son if i wash is face with a cloth or i brush he's teeth and i stand infront of the mirror so he can see himself, i find that he doesn't mind as much... he like to see what i'm doing exactly with the cloth and the difference it make when his face is durty from eating food and when it clean after i've wiped his face.. it also help to keep them still...

Is your shampoo baby safe? If it's not maybe she got some in her eye once and now it scares her to get her hair washed. Could you maybe use a wet washcloth with out shampoo every other night to get the food out of her hair til she is comfortable with her hair getting washed again? I use johnson baby shampoo and body wash so it is gentle if it gets in her eyes.
She should get past this just bare with her for awhile. Good luck.

My daughter has been acting up about me rinsing her hair, but not necessarily about washing it. I think she has got water in her eyes a few times so maybe its PTS, lol?
I have been laying her back and rinsing her hair by a cup, so it doesn't run in her eyes, but she still seems wary.
I like the idea of the mirror, I'll need to find one. She really likes looking at herself in the mirror... she is definitley my daughter, lol.

This doesn't really pertain to your problem but my daughter loves taking a shower too!
