Indigo Children
Good evening,
I am just beginning to learn about Indigo Children - I think I have a daughter that is one - wondering if there are others that would be able to share their stories. Any ideas on how to raise, what has worked, what hasn't worked regarding schools, discipline, diet, etc....
Thanks so much.

Hello! ^_^

Personally, I went to a private school for kids with Learning Disabilities, ADD and ADHD. I was diagnosed with "Reading Comprehension Disorder" a form of Dyslexia. I firmly believe it saved my life. I was not making it in a public school. There are many scholarships out there for children who "learn differently" from others. If that's the case for you, of course.

If your daughter is anything like me then she is very inquisitive and will question everything. I'm often refered to as a "story-teller". My brain never stops. My only advice there is to hear her out. Just by listening and showing personal interest will help improve her motivation to speak freely about everything on her mind. Indigos like most people dislike feeling they need to hide anything from anyone. Indigos need someone to understand them no matter how silly they might seem.

Though I am a novice at parenting, I do know this. Indigos are very stuborn. When they get their mind set on something it'll take something amazing to talk them out of it. Whether it be good or bad. Most importantly, they sometimes feel a need for validation of their feelings and/or beliefs. Espesially if they don't seem to fit in with other children. Again, just by listening and offering solutions will help ease that.

I am too much of a novice to feel comfortable giving advice on discipline and diet so I'll leave that to someone else.

I hope that helps. Even if a little. ^_^
