My turn.
Hey ladies. Being a mom is hard work and we always put ourselves last. But, I'm happy to say that I was able to put my own needs first on Saturday. I felt the typical guilt that was looming above me, but I perservered. Anyways, I got my hair cut, something that I wanted to do for some time now, but never did, because we really can't afford it. And the irony of all this is that I'm a stylist. Anyways, I feel so much better about myself now that I have a new cut. It's amazing how a simple hair cut can make you feel ten times better. Thanks for letting me share. LOL.

You go diva! I agree just doing a little something for you can make you feel 100 times better. A manicure,an eyebrow arch, even new nail polish can remind you of how beautiful you are. I try to affirm myself daily, because lets face it, sometimes no one else will!

Yvonne, isn't that the truth. I know that when I put on a nice outfit (even if that means a pair of jeans that doesn't have something spilled or stained on them) ot get my eyebrows waxed or buy a new lipstick that I feel a hundred times better and I always say to myself, why didn't I do that sooner. Congrats Hoa on taking some time for yourself and just remember that feeling you have now and try to give it to yourself every day.

Ditto to everyone...I have a bookclub I've kept up with and despite the guilt and difficulty finding time to read the book (lol) I'm always happy to have attended the monthly meeting. It's a rollercoaster of emotions, balancing home, work, family and me. Honestly I'm glad to hear of other mom's struggles and triumphs.
