Changed My Birth Control and Feel Great
I recently changed my birth control method. I was taking the pill, which I have been on since my early 20's. I was just too tired to remember to take it every day at the same time anymore, so I asked my doctor about options. She put me on a monthy method called Nuvaring. It is basically like the pill in that it is a hormone based method, but it is a contact form that releases a small continual dose. I have never felt so good in my life! I felt better on the pill than off of it, but this is even better for me mentally. I never realized how much up and down I went through daily with the pill. It did take a month to get past the yuck factor. Now I wouldn't change this method unless medically necessary.
I feel so happy and calm that I am wondering if I am actually manic now. I never felt so peaceful and happy on a daily basis before. The only sad thing is this will only work until menopause.
