Teenager after a serius sickness...
I'm so worry about all in concern to my older son who have DMD (MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY DUCHENNE) and is 16, Recently he was very sick in Intensive care teraphy dealing with a very bad Pneumonia, he was extremily in danger, his lungs get colapsed for several days and just looking how he was revolving himself on that bed just to try to breath was a horrible feeling, Oh my god! that was hard, he is very quiet and polite guy who doesn't have any friend, no one! but is because he is extremely shy his argument is that he feel handycap, I'm getting to worry because I caugh him in depression very often recently crying and wishing to die, I beat just having that dificult life must be extremely though for him, but I want him been in a social life and chearful in life beside school activities, I'm looking to find some friend for my son and for our family as well doesn't matter if is close or far away. if is close to Oceanside California if you know a caring family who want to hung out with us I will appreciate a lot if you pass the message...

We don't live near Oceanside, nor do we know anyone there. But I wanted to address the depression. Depression is very common in people with any kind of chronic illness and his thoughts and feelings are perfectly understandable. However, you need to address these feelings with his doctor. Some form of medication or therapy may be indicated and could be very useful.
