I need some advice.
Hi, my son will be attending public school in the fall. I need some advice on how to explain the difference environments between public and private. I started but I don't want to say the wrong things.

Do you mean in explaining the different school environments? I am not quite sure what you are asking.

Blessings

Do you mean the difference between what your family believes and the "world view" ? I struggled with whether or not to send my son to public school but in the end we decided it was best for our family to have him in a christian enviornment. I would just try to keep him (and you) in God's word and PRAY.

That's exactly what I'm struggling with. I don't want him to go there and jugde anyone. A christian school is what I would like for him to be in, but we can not afford it. So, public school is the path that God wants us to be at. I will continue to pray and speak to God. Thank you for all your help. God bless.

We are barely making ends meet by sending him, so I completely understand. I'm thinking about homeschooling, so that's another option. God Bless!

Hi Hoa, How old is your son by chance. We have struggled with the same thing. They have been in both but in the end they are going back to teh Christian school. We are blessed with one who gives us a scholorship and helps us have them there. I am curious the age because that does make a difference too. Somtimes it is good to put things out first, sometimes things come up and then theyg et talkes about.

Desiree, he's 5. He'll be going into K. We'll see where God will take us with this. Thanks.

Hoa,
I went to a private Christian affiliated school from 4th to 12th grade. I can tell you that there are just as many bad things going on in a Christian school as there are in the public. I found when I got out I was very sheltered and had to learn quickly about the outside world. There are great Christian kids in the public school system. As long as you have a great foundation at home, your kids will do fine in the public school system faithwise if not grow stronger. I was getting my masters to teach so I have experience with the school systems. Look into what opportunities your child will have and what kind of schooling the teachers have and how they teach. I found that I missed out on a lot of opportunities because of the limited funds and smallness of my school.
