Kathy, I don't doubt that you are trying to be supportive but I know first hand from "attempting" to raise the children I have it can be very overwhelming at times. I have been keeping your family in my thoughts and prayers. Please know that most of us are in the same boat, I also know that there is a line that our teens must not cross and not knowing all that much about your situation makes it difficult to fully understand what you are going through.

I find this response kind of a "smug" reply. When it was your husband who specifically asked for some advice. In raising a teenager, There are no right or wrong answers. It could be your daughter has other underlying issues and lying is a way of her controlling the situation.
