I have a friend whose daughter screams everytime she sits on the potty. She did this about 6 months ago so quit the training hoping she would grow out of it. She is now training again and is having the same problems. Her daughter is now holding her pee and poop all day and it is painful. Any suggestions? |

My son was doing the same thing, we had started prior and he slipped and his bottom touch the water, needless to say that is when the drama started, waited about 5 months and tried again, he started to scream and fight, everytime I would tell him it was time to go potty and try, he just fought with all he could, so then I told him that when he is ready I would leave the light on and he can go without me, it was about 1 week of this repeated telling him that when he wants to go, and leaving him in big boy undies, and he finally went in and started, so i think it's a matter of talking to her and letting her tell the mom when she is really ready, maybe try putting the potty on the toilet. But good luck to her. |
