Mom again
Hi, I'm Lisa and soon to be 40 and I have an 8 month old! Also a 20 yr old son and a 16 yr old daughter. I had a tubal reversal done in Nov. '06 and had my little miracle Oct. '07. I was pretty hesitant on having another baby, but now I cant imagine life without her!

Hi Laura,
Well, we were pretty shocked that I got pregnant so quick. Even the fertility Dr. was amazed. Said my chances were less than 30% after having the tubes reconstructed. And getting pregnant within 2 months was even the bigger shocker. But going thru all the tests, starting IVF and then deciding on having the TR instead was so worth the $$$.

Well Im hoping it happens soon I feel like an old fart but luckily i dont really feel old or act it , it is just that infomation that is out there about being over 35 that worries me sometimes.

Hi Laura, Yes I had extra bloodwork done and when I was about 4 months along, I had a level 2 ultrasound done where they measure the little ones neck 'fold', spine, legs, etc. i beleive it was to determine for down syndrome, my bloodwork count came back as 1:14 for downs. I was so upset, but decided against the amino test, didnt want to take the chance of miscarriage. But, I was told not too listen to the odds anyway because the numbers are determined by your age first, so I was 38, after having the level 2 ultrasound they put the numbers to 1:30 odds. I worried so bad, but my little one is fine.
