I need my daughter to socialize more; do any of you plan playdates for your children? |

I'm having the same problem. I don't know where to begin. I was thinking of signing her up for Gymboree. |

Check your local public library or church. Lots of them have story hours or play groups for different age groups, beginning as young as 6 months. Also you could just take your child to a public park or playground and introduce yourself to the parents of other children your child meets there. |

you could try meetup.com. I'm not sure what the activity is in your area, but where I am, there are several mommy and me groups that plan plenty of playdates. |

MOPS is also a great group for both moms and the kiddos. You can find a group near you on thier website, www.mops.org. I have met my closest friends through MOPS, and have found my girls' friends as well. You could also try Mom's Club. Both groups have scheduled activities for you and your little ones. Good luck! |

Our local paper had websites for most of the local churches. I hit those and found a mother's day out program at a church nearby. It's for a few hours 2 days a week and is age specific. They only have 5 kids per teacher and they separate them by age - 18 mos - 2 year, 2-3, etc. The local library does story time, but usually limits it to 2 plus years. Good luck. |

I have recently started taking my son to storytime at the library (lapsit for kids under 18 months) and also the childrens museum which he absolutely loves. So if you have one near you it is worth the drive once a week! |
